Our Running Coaches

Coach Davida

Running Coach and Nordic Walking Instructor

Certified UESCA & RRCA Level I Running Coach
Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist, CETI
Certified Urban Poling Instructor

Physical activity was a big part of Davida’s life prior to her breast cancer diagnosis, and it was an important part of her recovery. She was shocked to learn that, despite the numerous benefits that regular physical activity has for breast cancer survivors, survivors are less likely to be active compared to the general population. Davida is on a mission to change this. She founded Fit After Pink so breast cancer survivors in the Akron area would have access to fitness programs that are safe, engaging, and empowering. A key component to Fit After Pink is building a community where survivors thrive and flourish. Whether you are newly diagnosed or are celebrating your 20th ‘cancerversary,’ starting a fitness routine for the first time, or chasing big goals, Davida wants you to know that you belong here.

Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist, ACSM

In my practice, I’ve worked with many women who struggle to return to exercise after treatment. I’ve seen firsthand how challenging that transition can be, but I also know the immense benefits that movement and exercise have on overall health- both physically and mentally.

As someone who loves running and exercise, I feel it has helped me in countless ways, from improving my physical health to providing a sense of joy, accomplishment, and clarity. I would love to help women discover that same joy in movement and show them how exercise can be a powerful tool for recovery and overall wellness. Fit After Pink’s mission aligns perfectly with this, and I’m excited to support women on their journey back to strength and confidence.

As a 7-year breast cancer survivor, I now want give back to the breast cancer community and help other survivors get their fitness back after cancer or even to help them begin a fitness journey if there wasn’t one before their diagnosis. You are now a part of a sisterhood with a bond that is like no other. I want to support other women to feel good about themselves, and being a part of Fit After Pink will do it! I’m so excited for it!
